Este sistema le permite aumentar o reducir el ecualizador en las frecuencias centrales expresadas específicamente para bajos eléctricos. Cuenta con bajo nivel de ruido, baja distorsión y alto headroom. El STC-2C-BO está montado en un potenciómetro concéntrico y puede reemplazar una perilla de tono estándar sin necesidad de orificios adicionales en el bajo. El STC-2S-BO separa los controles de graves y agudos en dos potenciómetros. El preamplificador de bajo Blackouts se envía con todo el hardware de montaje necesario: potenciómetros de alta calidad en un arnés precableado, clip de batería, conector estéreo y perillas estilo cúpula negras estriadas.
