El Audity 2000 tiene la misma arquitectura de síntesis como el Proteus y los chips de sintetizador Proteus se diseñaron con el Audity original. El Audity 2000 es un sintetizador digital con 16 arpegiadores simultáneos, genial para trance y techno. Con un énfasis en la música electrónica groove, el Audity 2000 ofrece muchos sonidos de tipo dance pero con un matiz digital metálico. Cuenta con un gran filtro resonante digital de 12 polos, pero no es Moog. E-MU lanzó el software versión 2-0 para el Audity 2000, este añade gran funcionalidad a lo que ya es un gran instrumento. Una vez que actualices el Audity 2000, todas las actualizaciones futuras podrán descargarse desde Internet.
