Meinl en colaboración con el famoso baterista de metal Derek Roddy han desarrollado este platillo denominado Serpents Ride que tiene el sonido desarrollado especialmente al gusto y necesidad de este artista. Sonido agresivo y con un sustain corto, perfecto para géneros como el Metal y el rock duro en general. Fabricado con bronce B20 y martillado a mano en Turquía el Serpents Ride tiene un sonido brillante y con un sustain controlado.
