Major Triads
Major chords are made up of 3 notes that correspond to degrees:
Root - Major Third - Perfect Fifth (R - 3 - 5)
They are represented solely by the “name” of the chord, for example C Major is represented as C
* Sometimes they are represented as the name followed by a “M" capital letter (CM), but most commonly represent it with a single letter.
They are chords that we can perform using the open strings of the guitar, using a capotrasto, or sometimes making capo.
